I am in the category of my ACE header being my first header. I bought it because it's the best. I didn't buy FI because I wanted to keep my motor NA, and I didn't want to risk the extra stress of FI. I would have gone with a reliable Delicious tune either way, but still, risk is risk. It's a daily, and I need to keep it that way.

FunnyGopher: Oh. You haven't tuned ECU? Please do. Ace headers with stock tune and/or non fitting for it tune perform very poorly, like some +5whp and so on. W/o right tune to accompany you have paid to get best, but lot of headers will do same with filling torque dip and maybe even provide more gains with stock tune for less $. W/o tune you paid to buy best but didn't got best. Don't be scared of risks. If anything, buying DT ace header tune and adjusting it to your car after some sending logs will result in safer tune then stock imho, not just of much more power gains, as IIRC "universal" stock tune often knocks more then proper ecu OTS or custom tune, might be not right MAF scaled and so on.

Wearables don't count. Tires too under "for track" bill.

Trying to wrap my head around this ace header thing. Few questions.

1: why is the club 400 cheaper then the 350?
2: tuning is there a DT map for oft? Does it offer same performance as ecutek?

Ah! No, I wouldn't throw such a nice piece on the car without tuning it. What I was trying to say was if I had gone with FI, I would have also gone with a reliable tune that would help mitigate the risk of FI, but I still didn't want the risk of FI.

1. Dont know
2. DT is deliceous tuning they use ecutek tune system. OFT is openflash tune system. On an NA car their rearly no reason the results wouldn't be the same assumng the tuners using each system were same skill levels. Deliceous does a custom tune for ace header. OFT of the shelf tunes do not specificly cater for ace header, you would need to get a custom tune fom oft to compare with a deliceous tune to be fair.

Steve it was mentioned you helped someone tune for the ace header for a small fee for the oft? Is this correct? I have a line on the oft I just want to be sure a decent tune exsits for the ace header 350 or cs 400 before I buy the oft. Based on what I am reading this the header to get for the best all around performance on a NA car.

1. Not sure either I understand its only the overpipe that changes primary length between the 2.
2. DT gives you a specific map for your car using datalogs I am working with Zach on mine now. You get to do as many back and forth tweaks until its right. On Ecutek

OFT gives you a generic tune for free but is mostly suited to UEL headers. There are some forum members who will tune an OFT for ACE headers but the Delicious Tuning and Counterspace Garage have many real world track hours fine tuning the ACE Headers.

Simply put
ACE Headers = Deliscious tuning/Ecutek
UEL headers = OFT tuning

Gruppe-s UEL headers and OFT is a great bang for buck option. Its what I had before switching to ACE headers

how much was the difference was the jump between the 2 setups? I an trying to avoid the ecutek as the cost of a license, tune and headers are a large chunk of change just not sure it's worth it over a solid UEL header and oft.

I think the CS400 was developed due to the 350 interfering with the steering shaft on RHD cars ? Something like that I recall. It's also a different construction. The primary tubes on the A350 are all 1-piece while the CS400 uses 2-piece welded. The CS400 is supposed to have better low end torque than the A350, but loses to it everywhere else.
