Wheel Directory: WatercooledIND 17x9.0 +25

WCI MD1 17x9.0 ET25 with 215/45 tires front and rear.
Front is lowered to the point where I can still turn the wheels and not rub the fenders. Camber set to max on camber plates (1.25 deg).
Rear is lowered just enough to keep the car perfectly horizontal. Camber set to 3.5 deg.
No rub no scrub

Thinking of adding 15-20mm spacers to the rear and switching to 225/45 tires, because the rear wheels look too sucked in.

The wheels fit with your wrap and overall look. Nice job! IDK about adding that much spacer to the rear though... It looks more in the 10mm range to me, especially if you go up to a 225/45.

Thanks for sharing!

First of all, props on an aggressive fitment. However, 215/45 or even 225/45 is way too skinny on 9" wide wheels IMHO. Especially if you wanna protect those deep dish lips from any bends or cracks.

I am running 17x9 +25 too on all 4 wheels. I run 255/40 on my wheels and there is no rub. of course i am a little aggressive on camber and have fenders rolled.

GO WITH MEATIER TIRES. be brave

Hey, thanks for the appreciation.

I have access to a LOT of 215 and 225 tires, which is very important when a set is gone in a weekend.
Can't go any wider on the front because one bump on the highway or during a sharp turn would destroy my front fenders. No rolled fenders here :-) No extreme camber too to save the good handling.

As for the rear... If I switch to meatier tires the ability to do easy burnouts (no FI here) would be lost and the tires would get harder to find. I agree though that wider tires would look and work better on a proper wheel that is wider to the center of the car and has a proper offset to get just the right fender clearance (like 17x11 +38 with 255/40 - still not meaty but wider). Meaty tires would be good with no camber, but this is not what I am in to.

Of course the stretched tires give no protection to the wheel. I know it and I'm careful. No problems so far (4 months and 3K miles on bad roads).
BTW, it turned out to be quite easy to stretch 215 on 9", easier than one could expect.
