I have to admit: I knew that I couldn't be the only one doing this, but I wasn't sure. My seats are always down (with no s**t sliding around in the boot) unless someone else is in the car. No muffler and no resonator makes conversation a bit difficult

I heard the Michelin PSS create more road noise.
I have Michelin PSS and they are quite noisy compared to the stock tires. I hear them most around 40-50 mph

Don't do it for more exhaust noise. But whenever I do put the seats down, I'm always too lazy to put them back up so they stay down for weeks or months at a time until I finally get around to putting them back.

I use a ghost-seat software flash. You can make it sound like any car interior you want, seat up or down. I like two-stroke singe-cylinder tractor.

How does that thing feels when you are doing 80 exactly? You thought you could fly?

I haven't read all of this thread except for this page. I love the sound of my exhaust and I used to always drive with my seats down.

Now I have to get fucking hearing aids!

Let this be a warning for you kids out there. Seriously!

There is absolutely nothing in my past life style that could of possibly contributed to my hearing loss. You guys believe that right?

I have to thank Shiv for the latest OFT tune with the quieter start. My wife and neighbors thank you too.

Anyways, I just received a JDL Ultra Quiet Front Pipe and maybe that will help some. I have Tomei EL catless header, OP, and Invidia catless front pipe followed by an N1. All of which is an impressive sound.

I'm not getting rid of my straight pipe my no means. Just need to tone it down some so I can put the seats back down and enjoy the sweet exhaust notes.

I doubt the UQFP will do much with most of the sound coming from the header and catback. I will at least by legal and not have to swap out my factory front pipe for inspection.

Or, maybe I'll just tune out the frequency of the drone with the new hearing aids that I'm looking at getting and not give a shit about how it sounds and just focus on pumping as much horses as I can out of this 4 cyl engine.

Cheers!

Before I put this on, and just had the JDL UEL with the stock exhaust I would sometimes drive around with the back seat down. After I put this on, it sounds best with the seat up and the windows down.

I have had the seats down since i bought it 4 months ago, but only because of the massive subwoofer box that sits on top of the back seat.
