Yeah. Toyota ruined it when they added that five hp. That's why everyone is going to need a supra.

Thank goodness though, they could have switched to 18" wheels and 225 tires. Can you imagine the disaster?

Went back and found the laundry list of stuff you bolted on the car. Impressive and expensive. However, what I do not see is the before and after data to show that you actually accomplished anything with all that expense. That is where most people dive into denial. I am sure that you have the data from before and after you bolted each part on but just forgot to post it.

As to envious, not so much. Betty Crocker cake from a mix is not my style no matter how much frosting and sparkles it has. I like stuff to be a bit more original and require some skills from the builder. Not saying you or your installer don't have mad skills, but all I see is a catalog of parts that go on with a wrench and a CC.

As to the denial bit? Tossing huge amounts of $$$ at any car project is pretty stupid when looked at objectively. More so when you don't have before and after data to show that it made a difference as is the case with the vast majority of people who bolt thousands of dollars of parts on their car based on fancy add copy. The stuff we buy from the best aftermarket suppliers would not qualify as more than prototypes from an OEM vendor; not near enough development and validation. The end result is not worth 50 cents on the dollar if you are lucky. There is nothing wrong with denial, it is what allows us to do the next dumb but fun car project that we dream up.

You're right, I didn't accomplish anything. I just spent willy-nilly. I was hoping to double the car's value. Man do I feel stupid. Now I can't eat with all these credit card bills.

Don't crush! You can donate to a charity do something good and get a tax credit. I will send you the phone number of a charity. Do you know how long it takes to start a charity, by the way?

I couldn't possible risk it is used in its ruined state, must crush. I can use scrap money to pay off credit card or buy food.

That is what a responsible citizen would do.

I never thought about it, now realizing, that car could kill someone

Yes if you isolate just lap times and take it to an extreme then yes it is not an indication of good handling. However, I also said corner speeds and they do indicate a car that handles well.

Well, now Sapphireho ....... don't overreact.

All you have to do is to take all that stuff off, replace the stuff with the original parts. Then, put the modded parts back on ..... one at a time. After each part is replaced, run a dyno check and a skid pad course ...... measure the results against a base line that you previously established.

Of course, you would have to have at least four representative samples for the measurements of any gains to be statistically valid. Of course, interrelationships between several mods must be measured.

That ought to keep you busy right up to retirement .......
