Yeah, when I drive on long trips, that exhaust noise makes it hard to get any sleep.

I kind of feel like the people who complain about noise or install a bunch of sound deadening bought the wrong car.

For the whiners, this is almost exactly what my TR6 sounded like to drive. This guy's car is set up very similar to the way mine was (except I had a windshield), and I also had the tonneau for when the weather was cold. Even with a Corsa exhaust, my BRZ is very civilized in comparison.

Frameless windows though, so worth it.

I can agree to a point with that but I still think they didn't put enough in these cars. 50 dollars worth of dynamat superlite makes a world of difference in road/tire noise.

Anybody that thinks these cars are noisy should try to get a ride in a base model sixties Dart or something similar. Zero carpeting or insulation (just some plastic mats), steel door panels, steel dash, basic weather-stripping, cloth headliner and so on. Close the door and the resulting clang would echo for minutes.

I've been thinking about going back to that. When I got my exhaust replaced I drove like that for about a day when i had to lug my old exhaust home. When the seats went up I guess it struck me that it got quieter, but I sort of thought I was getting use to the sound of the exhaust. Certainly it gets louder with the windows down. Need to do some experimenting, I guess.

Help weed out the poor drivers in a hurry. If there had been internet there would have been very few "is this totaled" accident posts.
