Or it could be they weigh 3x as much as an 86 and weight may play a factor in how a metal chassis contorts across the road.

For the money, a track day w/ instruction would be much more beneficial/rewarding.

I'd rather not wear out my stickier tires on my 3+ hour drive to the track. Or my 7+ hour drive to thunder hill I have coming up.

Is that mounted to the rear deck? If so you can still lay down the seats and fit all your wheels in the back seat with gear in the trunk

I can't get all 4 of mine across the back. 245's so only 3 fit.

Carolina Motorsports Park 2hrs
Atlanta Motorsports Park 2.5hrs
Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval 1.5hrs
Roebling Road 4hrs
Virigina International Raceway 4hrs

for anyone saying that most braces are dumb why would Toyota have gone thru all the effort to list everything they changed here? the one that surprised me was the fender brace.

Mad jealous, I do have a couple tracks within two hours, one of them is not that fun.

First, where can you get those triangulated trunk/back of seat area braces?

Second, I have seen OEM designed race cars, and even had another OEM ask us why we wouldn't use their their fancy street car upgrade brace, on the race car we were designing/racing. Lets just say OEM's may be good at production cars, but racecars, not so much. As for why TRD uses the fender braces...??? Maybe they do something, maybe they think they do something, but until you see torsional numbers, or other data, you really won't know.
