It's a drift ornament except in an attempt to be "JDM FRESH" people rock it on their FWD econoboxes.

I will admit though, that stingray a few posts up is heartmeltingly adorable. I want it for my rear view mirror

But RRnold explains it. Its "dumb."

Other then that... its just a little toy that's kinda screaming when the car goes sideways. Think Anime.

I see anything dangling from your tow hook or exterior of you car the same manner as I do with those dangling nut sacks.

You're not going to win me over on this one and we weren't talking about "older people", you specifically mentioned the Police . Police officers, especially specific task forces know their material, environment and perpetrators very well. You go right ahead and underestimate the knowledge of the police, let me know how that turns out.

Sorry my post is a little miss leading, I just say older people because Im generally pretty young (21). What I was getting at is that most police will take what comes out of one guys mouth and make it seem like everybody of that category does xyz. Hence why most of the time when it comes to certain things, I take what they with a grain of salt. Much like the news.

Slightly off topic, but for those interacting with law enforcement because of spirited driving, I found this article to be useful. It's a couple years old at this point, but you may find it helpful.

I have a train handle from Japan hanging from my tow
Hook on my KE70....
In general most ornaments hanging off tow hooks r shit but sometimes someone is a bit different and u can appreciate it ... I know pretty much all u say u hate them and fair call.. When douches in riced out fwds with"fart cans" ruin the look if u would call it that, it can only be expected.... But if I was driving along and a done up 240z riding very low had that mustache ride? toy hanging of the back I could enjoy and get a laugh out of it...

It started with Bosozoku cars.. They would hang tins off the tow hook(can't remember what type of tins)... The car was considered low/cool enough if the tin dragged across the ground or made contact with it.... Then came train hooks and the same thing applied but also as an F-you to police because the train hook had obviously been stolen from a train and the Bosozoku was showing off...

I was given a few as gifts and fitted one to my tow hook as well as the brace handles in the interior of my ke70 to give it a bit more Bosozoku style.. Dunno about the whole fluffy toy thing though... If its funny and original id appreciate it...

Those ''drift charms'' are cosmetic and dont mean anything more than truck balls do. I have read that they started with Japanese gangs in Japan dragging chains or something metallic (as some form of rebellion), from their cars/motorcycles for some reason. Then it evolved and got popular in the drift scene, then it evolved into spoiled rich white kids, and Asian kids in America hanging dirty stuffed animals. It like how kids hang their pants low past their ass. It started with some hardcore dudes doing it for a reason and it evolved into a metro-sexual homing beacon much like truck balls are redneck looser identifiers.

It was off topic to begin with. Just thought it might help you and others in your dealings with LEOs

The only dangling "drift charm(?)" I've seen that I thought was cool was an Angry Bird. Must be a ballistic thing. I think a dangling Bullet Bill would be cool too.

Its not pink its fuchsia. Just like dark red is not burgundy it is Merlot, and its not rust its patina. Or something. But how gay are those drift charms seriously, they are gayer than gay. I mean, I have nothing against gays at all in any way, but those drift charms are freaken gay.
