So with all the dealer stock cars that are coming in with this, does no one have a picture of what it really looks like?
Told my dealer if the fuel door is scuffed to put this on, they will be getting me a new fuel door under warranty. He said he didn't know if they scuffed them before putting the sticker on or not. Such a stupid thing for SOA to FORCE on all these cars! And the fact that I have to pay for it to get my car 2 months earlier is only slightly comforting.... |

So this is the only picture I found of it after going through dozens of listings on cars.com. This can't be the chrome cover can it? It's not even chrome looking, it's an obvious pos fake carbon fiber STICKER! For $70 I would at least expect a metalized plastic sticker, sheesh!

Couple pictures I found on the net. Mine will also have this on it. Guess we will see how the overall package looks when someone has a picture of the entire car with the fuel door cover.. (to be fair I thought the rear diffuser looked pretty tacky/lame based just on pictures until I saw a brz with one installed on a lot the other day in person)

I just removed mine. It was not scuffed underneath. I heated it up with a hair dryer for a few minutes and slowly peeled it off while applying more heat. Once it was off I heated the adhesive and used goo gone. It was pretty easy, but took a while to get all the glue off.

So my sack just dropped. I went ahead and did it, got it off with no damage either. Put it on wax paper like my subaru and brz badges from the back so I can put it back on when I want to.
The sticker was in the sun all day so I didn't even both heating it up. I will need to polish it as there are a few fine lines, but not even that much glue left over. |

I removed mine yesterday.
p.s. It is a high quality, high-priced sticker. $99 down the tube. Last edited by poudre; 07-10-2012 at 12:57 PM. |

Found a use for part of the fuel door sticker--covered a scratch in my bike's side cover.
A piece of the sticker can be seen on the lower left corner of the cover.
