Car Cover

So I got the FR-S yesterday, I go outside today to check it out and find that some neighbors cat has scratched the hell out of the trunk.

Anyone know of companies selling fitted covers or some way to keep the bastards away?

Any help is appreciated.

I'm also going to need a cover since I don't have a garage.

I'd prefer a solution that doesn't require feeding.

Anyone happened to try any odd solutions with any luck? Mothballs, pepper powder, etc?

I saw a product called " Pet Off" a long time ago, that was used to keep pets off of things. I don't know if it is still around or if it would work on a car.

I've looked on eBay and they have one, but I don't think it's "specifically" made for the FRS. From what the seller says it'll fit nicely, but he doesn't have pics so idk.

Thanks Ichi, I'll have to do that.

Day 2 and no additional cat scratches that I've noticed. Though I did put out some strongly scented stuff (bleach, ammonia, etc) as it supposedly keeps them away.

Yeah. We park all of our cars outside. In 6 years we've never had a cat scratch.

Day 1 ownership, bam. cat moves in to F stuff up.

-.- never thought about it myself. The worst part is, it's like he jumped and missed as there's one that's half as long as the trunk is wide.

I did find some white hair, though each of the three cats that roam the area, have patches of white

We've cats all over our area, but i never see them jumping onto cars....
They're always hanging around the sidewalks, fences, driveways....but they dont ever seem interesting on jumping ontop of cars. probably cuz theres nothing interesting around them that they could jump on top of by car.....

civicdrivr I about fell out of my chair laughing at that vid...

A friend of mine had this problem a few years back. He got a male cat that he didn't fix, but kept well fed (to keep it loyal-ish) and that cat kept every other cat in the neighborhood off his property.

Another thing that works well were I live are owls

If there's a pets-mart in the area or some other pet store, perhaps they have a spray you could use around where you park the car...
