Question Is my car gonna blow up on E85? (look at my datalog please!)

https://datazap.me/u/guybo/highway-p...-6-7-8-9-11-12

So the FLKC, MAF voltage and Advance Mult channels are screwy, I think I need to update and try again. But this much did log OK, so does it look healthy? I got a tank of high ethanol E85 last week and my LTFT was up around +8 to +11, the car did not want to start (chilly week- into the 40's in the morning). To be fair, I was on the way to work I didn't want to start either, but the car has to! I put in a gallon of 93 with my corn squeezin's this week and LTFT looks better (and started a lot easier too today!)

Sounds like you are running a non-e85 tune? I'm not familiar with your setup. Ethanol has a lower afr than gasoline so your ltft is expected to go up quite a bit.

Ethanol fuels usually cause some engine starting difficulties in cold weather in general from my understanding. Something about not vaporizing as well.

It might be rich from the extra 93. AFR was 12.1 at WOT before.

I'll have to update and try again. But my OFT is having issues, I may have to get a new one. Connection issues

Hight positive ltft indicate high ethanol content, oft base tunes didnt start well on high ethanol content in cold conditions, you will need to modify the cranking ipw tables

Some of the later calid dont log correctly, you will nedd to do a calid hack to get arround that

Warm weather will be here soon. Im not worried about that and the extra 93 helped too. I figured i got a very high ethanol fill up. But the numbers i do have look good, right?

One thing that concerns me is if the station i go to doesnt sell a lot of e85, the tank may stratify (ethanol and gas separating) over time and thats why im getting too much corn juice.

I believe the stations have mixer pumps? I don't think they have e85 delivered to them.

Is that how they work- they'll have an ethanol tank and just mix in some gas at the site? Good to know. Do the tanks have agitators too? I've been in a gas station fuel tank to clean it, and that one was just a tank and a pump and some lines, nothing else, but that was in 1999. I'm tempted to buy a tester and visit some local stations and make a little report on ethanol % in this area and put it on some local FB pages.
