Lol yes you are right, but no one is washing here the car in his garage (I did once and the neighbors were laughing and telling me that this was done in the 80s) and the price for hand washing is like x4. Something like 60 USD for a simple inside and outside wash. I live in Germany, but I am not a German ...

wow that's crazy. The guys down the street do everything for $25. They charged me $80 to wax and clean.

I hear great things about waterless car wash products these day.

Trunk swap

Hey all:

So I've been toying with the idea of getting into an '18 with PP, but I saw a white tS at a local dealership, and was surprisingly wowed by it in person. Yeah, the wing is a bit much for me, being close to 50 (damn, that hurts to type), but overall, I love the little details. I won't dish out the $4-5k premium over MSRP that the San Diego dealers are asking for, but there are plenty in LA.

In any case, I'm wondering if any of you have considered - or actually performed - a trunk swap. Could one buy a standard trunk lid/spoiler, and swap it out easily, say track days vs daily driving days?

Thanks!
Dok

I did once the trunk swap, but I don't think it is easy to do it often. You'll need to remove all the wiring (for lock mechanism, lights etc.) and re-install to the new trunk. The easiest that you can do is to remove the wing and find some (black) rubber that will fill the holes. When you need the wing, just remove the rubber and re-install the wing.

They have markups too, they just don't list them.

I backed out of a deal that I had with my local dealer on a White tS with the short shifter.

If anybody in the Bay Area is interested in getting a White tS with the short shifter + popular package 3 @ MSRP, please contact Jeffery @ Premier Subaru of Fremont (408-444-3084). The car will be delivered in the beginning of April.

So I installed the JDM DRLs last weekend! They aren't as bright as I thought they would be so I have them on with the parking/headlights.Name: 20180314_212052.jpg

A friend of mine got them installed on his and I noticed while we were driving in pitch black with them on that they created looong lateral LED light beams (perpendicular to the direction of the car).

So they definitely seem bright, if not focused directly forward.

Is it just me or wouldn't that spot for the DRLs be perfect for a brake duct intake?
