2018 BRZ tS - The Thread for Potential Owners

Subaru has announced that the 2018 BRZ tS will officially be available in April. However, most tS units have already been distributed through Subaru’s Retailer Network. Most dealerships will already know what color and how many units they are receiving, which means potential buyers can start searching around for one prior to their arrival in April.

This thread is for people to share their experiences while waiting for the first deliveries of the tS! What color will you be getting, and are you new to the platform or will it be your first twin?

BRZ tS MSRP is $34,355 (incl. Destination, +$150 for Alaska)

Earliest Deliveries are estimated to be around the last week of February

Hi, been lurking on here researching parts and keeping up to date with the 18' model. I graduated in May and have been wanting a new car for a while. Once I heard about the tS I started saving. I convinced my mother to buy a FR-S in 2013, so I am fairly familiar with the platform. I contacted a local dealer months ago saying I would be interested in a tS and they recently informed me that they have ordered a WRB. Now just waiting for the price and date announcement. Hopefully it's no more than $35k.

Awesome! Yes, people who have expressed interest in the tS should be hearing from their dealerships rather soon! :happyanim:

I am also interested in the Crystal White Pearl, and this will be my 2nd twin.

It will be replacing my current automatic BRZ now that my girlfriend and I share a 2nd daily driver. I expressed an interest at my local dealership months ago, but I need to remind them how serious I am when I get my next service.

This'll be my first twin (yes, I've been lurking on here for six years without a twin). I do own an AE86, however.
I've been trying to put a deposit on one since June to no avail.
I'm leaning towards blue, but down for any of the three colors.
However, based upon what may be revealed about the 86 GT, I may just go with an '18 86 GT with PP if it's offered, and load it up with the entire TRD aero kit; and not have to deal with trying to fight others for the 500 car allocation, or the insane markups that are due to happen.

I've actually started accumulating 86-twin parts already.

I’m trying to get a WRB one

Agree. I wouldn't mind a Black tS, but I don't want to go through the headache of trying to find one in Central Ohio or trying to secure a deposit on one in Chicago. A red/black/white 86 will be easier for me.

NCtoBRZ 12-05-2017 08:14 PM

That wing :barf: I’d much sooner buy a PP BRZ than pay $35k+ for what amounts to a modified suspension and a huge park bench wing. Subaru knows what they are doing though... make something a special edition and people will rush to order with money in hand.

found that one too on my hunt for this new revised wing...
definitely looks the same with just different endplates, you are now tasked with finding the SKU for the endplates... unless they dont sell them separately? i guess we'll find out soon

if i cant find it and order one i might just have to settle for a voltex

Me like those wheels. Are they the same STI wheels that you can buy on Subaru's website?

Adam_L 12-05-2017 10:48 PM

the wheels look like the TRD version on the RS2 FRS ( 15 spoke) . Any confirmation they are the same?
