Yeah that piece isn’t sold separately from the spoiler. Id bet it’s used on another part of the car, like an interior piece or something. Maybe Tcoat can help you find the piece, I don’t know how to acquire it.

No worries I've actually been researching on and off the past few days and chatting with @tehShirt about it. Tcoat has the details now and we might be able to work something out to get a bunch.

Really pleased with how they turned out! @Drambeenie was right there when I needed him about the washer question. I was glad I sort of waited as I followed some of the advice of others on what to do and it took about 45min (just myself) to install. I think it came out great and I couldn't be happier.

I went out and picked up 4 extra M6 washers for the top of the spoiler as advised and everything felt really sturdy. Not having to remove the green clips was appreciated as well. I had a screenshot of @johan and @spike021 installs on my phone for reference.

What's this about adding washers you're referencing? I must have missed when that came up. Where are they added?

These are added between the top of the green core and the spoiler itself. It's a new thing that came up.

@Drambeenie can probably explain better than me.

I added black rubber washers between the stock inner core and my core. In the event that the bolts are overtightened, the cover and the inner core sit on-top of each other rather than having some empty space to allow flex. The black washers just need to be removed - and adding washers on-top help it further. If you already installed and don't want to remove the black washer, adding washers ontop will do fine.

I'll be updating the inner piece design so that washers won't be needed in the future, and i'll be removing the black washers from where I was placing them.

Also, testing a new piece of foam to put between the spoiler and the cover to prevent any water from getting in and from seeing the internal piece when looking at the spoiler. Basically fill the gap.

That's an interesting idea.

Couple questions:

does the foam get compressed a bit to sit flush?

and

do the bolts on top need to be replaced with longer ones?

I actually did foam like this myself on my install. I used speaker gasket foam, like for a car stereo. Worked great and compresses really nice.

Yeah, the foam gets super compressed and is really really soft.

I suppose if your washer is really thick it might require a longer bolt, but the standard washer should be about 1mm in height.

Good move. I think this foam is very similar to the foam you used.

When it's in proper shape even and you place it under the black bracket it also still has some space, making it move more than I'd personally prefer. It doesn't "lock in" until you've put the cap on, which is when the metal clip bites it with the teeth-looking edges to hold it in place.

Sort of on-topic:

I'm still researching how to get extras of the metal clip.. It's proving to be kind of difficult because at least a couple companies I've contacted or looked at require the customer to be an OEM, and others require buying a huge pack of at least 100, lol.

This is before I've even confirmed the ones I'm looking at are the proper size that matches what we need to use.

Not sure how much more I'll look into it because it's just not as easy as I'd like lol.

@Tcoat any ideas on how to get small clips like the ones we're having issues with without having to do a huge bulk order?

Well according to your link they are 15 dollars for 125. If we can confirm they are the right size I will buy them.

Just found one more reason I am glad I purchased these. Not only is the look so much better, but now when you are washing your car it is easy to clean/dry the trunk under the spoiler! That alone is worth the price!

Well Tcoat said he can look into it and try to find a match, and then he might be able to get us a bunch or figure out where we can get them from.

The problem I had was I reached out directly to one of these suppliers and they actually told me they only sell to OEMs.

So unless you can prove you're an OEM then it probably won't be very easy to just buy these. I don't think it's like a regular store that you just log on, click buy, and it's fine.
