+1 for Miata if all you want is a fun toy to mess with.

Edit, I should say that an S2000 is going to be more unique if you want something more interesting, but that leads to greater expense, which might not be a good thing for learning drifting, etc.

If us clowns on a forum have figured out it's a sports cart, I don't think insurance companies are going to be fooled by backseats. PS get a miata.

Insurance rates are based entirely on measurable statistics. You can bet your arse that the number and configuration of seats are taken into account. Now how that affects the rate is debatable, but completely OT...

Unfortunately lol, when I was on stocks I did it every once in a while but very rarely, I smashed a curb once doing it and had to replace a rear toe arm... after that, never again

I suggest more practice at organized events or wide open spaces. Do it enough to decide if you're either hooked, or over it.

You can drift in anything rwd. Build a cheap kart.

It’s extremely fun imo, albeit kinda scary to someone inexperienced (me).

In Miami it seems a bit hard to find both, especially an organized event. :/

Miata, a car you can flog without caring about it too much cause they're plentiful. They're also fun cars. Autocross is dominated by them.
