Pretty easy to screw up when the tires are hard as a rock though. Doesn't take much. It was so cold here a while back that even my snow tires firmed up to the point that I almost lost it on an onramp.

While we are talking about repair, does anyone know of any DIY auto shops in the Portland area? I asked in the PNW forum, didn't get much. There must be seomthing up with way with rental space and tools.

![]() I reckon your plan of action would depend on your insurance situation. I don't think your SO's hair dryer and some touch up paint will fix it. I don't know if a PRD person can re-mold that bumper or not. NOW, the next time you take us on a tour ...... I'll expect some better pictures ...... ![]() humfrz |

Looking closer, looks like the bumper is warped and mangled. I think OP is looking at needing a replacement unless there are repair methods I'm not aware of. Or that could just be how the 86 bumper looks to begin with...
![]() Paint might be new enough to get it prepainted to save on masking/blending costs. |
