Hit Road with my 2017 86

1 Attachment(s)
My car hit the road in front this morning. I wonder should i bring the car to dealer to probably replace the bumper since the car is pretty new or should i take it to local shop and do myself? If so, is there any recommendation around Seattle area?

Thank you guys!

Whoa, did the road jump out from behind a tree or something?

Get some quotes from reputable shops. Most dealers just farm it out and take a cut anyway. Those dealers that do have body shops are usually way more expensive.

And I gotta ask... How the heck did you hit the road?

I thought this was going to be a travelogue.

Thanks for the advise. I also wonder will these body work show as damage on those auto check report? Besides, i'm also considering just replace with some aftermarket font spoiler in this case if that necessary?

P.S. It's heavy rainy day today and my car just spin at corner when i just came out of my house...

Oh so you smacked a curb not the "road". That makes more sense.
If you do not go through insurance it will not show up on a report. An aftermarket spoiler will not cover that damage and probably wouldn't fit properly anyway.

Bumper is sagging a bit there, did the clips get damaged on that side when you hit the road? Or was it like that already because twin?

The bigger question is what was the temperature when it happened? If on stock tires, in the cold, on a wet surface then even the traction control can't help much.

I don't think that the bumper sag issue is very common after about 2015. At least nobody seems to complain about it in those years.

Sure it can, as long as you're not driving like an asshole and going way too fast for the conditions.
