Brake bedding vs. Subaru's break-in, and dust

I just hit 1,000 miles, following the Subaru-recommended procedures. I have noticed that the OEM pads on the Brembo calipers (2017 PP) seem to produce a good bit of visible dust with more spirited driving (I am guessing these are semi-metallic pads?)

On a previous car I ran the Carbotech Bobcat 1521, which IIRC uses a ceramic compound. They produced very, very little dust, and the dust they produced was not very visible (which isn't a fully fair comparison given the wheels were different colors). Upon installing them, I had the rotors resurfaced. Shortly after installing them, I performed the bedding procedure. After doing this, they seemed to become quieter, more effective, and produced minimal dust.

The Subaru break-in seems to run somewhat counter to most bedding procedures I have read about. My questions are, A) at the 1,000-mile mark, the brake dust is still substantial compared to the ceramic pads I had before - will it reduce at all with further usage?, and B) should these brakes be/should have been formally bedded?

Forgive me if this has already been asked - most of what I found searching for bedding comes back regarding track-use/track pads, which does not apply to my situation!

Thanks

I can tell you that after about 360 days from pickup of my car, plus roughly 9300 miles I still get tons of brake dust. I think it's just the nature of the PP brakes, honestly.

Dusting is usually more of the brand and type of pad than it is to the break-in of said pads.

Dust from the 2017 OEM Brembo pads is mild compared to moderately capable track pads. I put some DS2500 pads on...squuuueeeaaakkkk...my wheels are bronze instead of silver...LOL

Lol I have this issue with the PP pads actually.

I hadn't cleaned mine in a while and thought they looked disgusting, so I cleaned them even more thoroughly last time and it made me remember how nice the original, clean color looks

I run the DS2500 on stock calipers with no squeak. Lots of dust.

Bummer! I think I am going to opt for a set of 1521 Bobcats then.
