SSC 1 and SSC2? That would make sense.

these two are incompatible unless Koni is going to replace the shocks free of charge. hopefully somebody will clarify this?

Thank you for the summary of the Town Hall. Just to confirm no. 9, center caps included in wheel weight?
Thank you again.

He said the cap that came with the wheel (rather than a home-made chunk of lead I guess) but I have not seen it in the actual rules.

It was recorded too so should be available. Duck and I were also messaging back and forth, it was said. Parts are not to be interchanged although they may be the same parts.

Yes and no. They mentioned it (yes), but said it's not under consideration at the time (no). They believe they have a good set to work from. In the future, they may, but not going to be soon.

Not really. Koni stands behind the quality of their work. Common sense prevails.

If you notice issues with your shocks, contact Koni.

Still under warranty? You get a new one (not a rebuilt).

Out of warranty? You buy a new one. (Not feasible to be rebuilt).

They say koni builds these to last 100k miles or so (i.e., it's a GOAL they wish to achieve, not an absolute).

Correct. Centercaps that came with the wheels. (Common sense prevails here too, don't go adding weight or making new centercaps out of lead).

I don't know how you police that at all, aside from the obvious bits like appearance, etc.

I think common sense applies here too - don't put FRS headlights on your BRZ. But if you need crash bolts, it shouldn't matter whether they came from Toyota or Subaru.

They don't police it at all.

We police it as competitors.

Yes, I know. The question was how. Not who.

No way Jose! James Darden, 2016 ESP National Champ, and one of the top drivers in our region recently drove a fully prepped SSC car at a local time attack auto-x event and was raw timed by a decent ES driver in a MR2 (mid pack at Nats). James was saying the PAX for this car needs to been in the GS/HS territory.

I didn't realize the Falkens were that bad.

I'm sure Rick Ruth isn't going to listen tho ...

I was supposed to co-drive that car with James and Kinch at the SCCA event but as you know it was cancelled and I decided to skip the Time Attack. I am very curious as to how well that car was set up being that it had only been out to one previous event. I have a hard time believing that most SSC cars (or any car for that matter) are going to be set up optimally after being driven at only a few events unless the driver(s) are set up/testing experts and knowledgeable in the chassis. While the PAX number may still be off once the cars are developed and driven to their full potential, the possibility of a tune is still on the table which could also help bring the car closer in line to the current number. If I were Rick Ruth, considering those factors, I would take a wait and see approach before announcing any changes.
