Well don't throw any of the little figures at the Irish assistant while you are watching.

I never let them get that far.

Feel bad for the ones that don't watch.

Its really not that complicated in practice. I thought it was but after seeing in done 3 times its very simple.

Its a drain and fill x3 while cycling the tranny from R to D to empty out the torque converter between each time

Yep. Like we discussed before it is the instructions that make it seem really complicated. They make it seem like there are about 40 steps that all have to happen perfectly before it will work. I am still not sure the part that requires you to sacrifice a goat at midnight during a new moon is totally necessary.

Na, you can do it at Noon also. The 12 part isnt specific

Well it depends on if you have the Toyota or Subaru.

While I have no idea about the contradiction between what you were told by the service personnel and the owner's manual I know some of the newer Mercedes automatic gearboxes do not have an oil filler plug. That is, they are sealed units.

Good to know for when I buy a Mercedes. Til then I'll just stick to the Owner's Manual instructions from Toyota/Subaru which say change it every 60k miles

And for the record there are 2 plugs on the FRS AT. I know cuz Ive looked at it

Sure. I should have qualified my post.
I wasn't arguing about changing the oil in a BRZ/86 auto. My post was more of an off topic post. I was just noting that sealed boxes are now a thing. The very concept of a sealed box weirds me out.
