just giving some input based on my own experience. I had to look into all this stuff when I had my Z06. The whole "no kids in the front ever" movement is totally based on society having to protect the weakest link...ie those incapable of figuring out how to turn off airbags. Once airbags are out of the equation, there is really no increased risk. |

They probably are just as strong, but once again, those systems were designed because the average person is to incompetent to properly secure a carseat with a seatbelt...demonstrated perfectly by the picture posted earlier in this thread. Quote:
Like I said originally, if you can disable the front airbag...I don't know that laws where he is, but I know where I am it is not a law |

We started with the GB Evoq system as an infant.
http://gbchildusa.com/products/evoq/ the stroller is buttery smooth, the car seat detaches from the base and can be put on the stroller, all the while the stroller has its own seating that reclines into a bassinet so the baby can sleep freely. It's nice being able to take the baby out in the car seat without ever having to take the baby out of the car seat. With that said, however, NO ROOM in the front for a passenger. You can forget about bringing the wife unless she's really short or doesn't mind being cramped up behind you. When our baby grew up and began to get too tall for the car seat, I opted for the Graco Nautilus 65 from Target. https://www.target.com/p/graco-174-n...E&gclsrc=aw.ds Mainly because it comes in the Ritzy Red color and it fits the color of the FRS seats so perfectly. It looks factory! And the kid loves it, the belts are smooth and move real easily. It's a whole world of difference putting the kid in forward facing and he loves it more now that he's not staring at the seat all day. Congrats on the baby, OP. Good luck! |

I think that it should be more of a second thought and not something to be considered as the first option, or a more convenient option(back seat vs front seat). Most of today's society needs to be spoon fed and hand held lol, mainly my generation, which happen to be the ones making babies now

![]() What you may consider is a combination (two) of child seats ...... one for when they are younger and another when they are older. Finding one convertible child seat to "fit" in the back of a FR-S and to fit all of your criteria will be difficult, if not impossible (as long as you want to have a passenger in the front seat). humfrz PS - back in the day ........ it was easier .......

Oh don't let anyone fool you. The reasons we have regulations and spoon-feeding is because the previous generation was just as dumb.
