Believe me, it's been tried.

Maybe they don't anymore, or maybe it depends on the company who is actually towing.

I have purchased a car and then had AAA tow it to my home immediately after. But another time I sold a car to a family member and AAA refused to tow it.

It'll be interesting to see if this matches up with the final numbers.

Guys, just got confirmation that the STi side spoilers will not be installed at the port because of some sort of compliance with the ground clearance. Installations will be at the dealership you buy it from.

Second, the cars are coming with some kind of brochure in the glove box that highlights the extra features of the car. Pretty cool...it’s the first BRZ Special Edition that gets something like this.

Are they normally installed at port? Such as when you order a Limited with the lip and side skirts.

On regular BRZ’s they are not installed on the port either.

The notice to the dealers was mostly a reminder that it's mandatory to install the supplied lip kit. It's always been a dealer-installed accessory. The cars will be shipped to the dealer with a big sticker on them reminding them to install the kits.

Yeah, I remember them telling me the same thing about the kit when I bought my series.blue. I called SOA yesterday and they still gave me the ETA of April. I really was hoping to be as lucky as you other guys getting them earlier than expected.

Did any of you add the auto-dimming mirror and do you know if it is still a frameless glass mirror if you do opt in for the auto-dimming for that option in the tS?

I called SOA on Monday and also still have no VIN and an April delivery, so we’re in the same boat.
Mine will be coming with the auto-dimming mirror too. It’s not frameless.
However, I’ve got the correct frameless mirror I ordered back in December sitting in my closet ready to replace the auto-dimming one. Yeah. I’m paying close to $500 to just run the standard mirror....(price of auto-dimming option+price of oem frameless)
It’ll be joining much of the other accessories my car is coming with in the trash bin (rear bumper appliqué, wheel locks, blue footwell lighting because I want red, etc.)

The East Coast and Texas usually gets their cars first, then the Plain States, then the West Coast.

That’s been the pattern for all of the Special Edition VINs. A lot of those East Coast states have cars with VINs already.

For CA, I think we will get our VINs within the next week with an ETA 2nd or 3rd week of March.

A bit off-topic, but any plans for that auto-dimming one that comes with the car, presuming you'll be selling/otherwise getting rid of it for the one you already got?

This is exactly what happened with the PP last year as well, as far as I can remember. People who ordered around the same time as me got theirs late Jan/early Feb in Texas and other states and then mine came in middle of March.

I'd be willing to sell it, hit me up when I get the car.
