You can only swap if it was an option on your model year. If it was an option that is standalone, then you can swap only that part. If it came as a package with other crap, other crap needs to be swapped out too to make it legal.

Fancy calipers were first offered on the 'Series.Blue' BRZ's in 2015, that guy has a '14 so no-go unless he sells the car.

No advantage other than looks though I think they're heavier than the stock cast calipers too... Which now that I think about it, his car is in DS now, not CS, no TRD parts available, all '13-'16 BRZ's have been in DS.

My FRS is being delivered Friday. I've never driven one myself(been in plenty) but looking forward to running it in CS.

what front sway bars are people using for their CS setups? Im debating the 19 or 22mm perrin front bar for my setup.

How happy were you with the ST bar on soft? Would you have gone a little softer if you could?

I just ran my first event with the TRD setup with a TRD rear and Strano front sway (because I already had it). Car was understeering pretty badly mid corner and exit, both under neutral throttle and acceleration. Front tires were getting a lot hotter than the rear tires too.

Considering picking up the ST bar or the Perrin 19mm. Perrin is 25/72% stiffer than stock, ST is 41/76%

I was very happy with the ST front bar on soft (And the TRD bar on the rear). It felt "just" right for me. I would go with that same bar set up again.

So I originally had hopes of taking this car to the national stage but after driving a friend's Miata in some fun runs following an event last weekend I definitely see how our cars are well outclassed in CS. Within 2 runs in his car I had bested my BRZ's best time by a full second and there was tons more time out there to be had in the Miata still.

Of note I already have my car setup with: Whiteline 20mm 2-way-adjustable front bar (set stiff) / Koni yellows / OEM crash bolts with max neg camber and custom alignment / 17x7.5 RPF1 w/ 245/40/17 Rival S 1.5 / spec-d catback / hawk street-race pads (front and rear).

The friend is willing to let me co-drive his Miata for national events, which will be great. I just had higher hopes for the car, but this may push me over the edge to STX and pursuing Time Trials at least.

Anyone have any ideas on how we can bring down the mighty miata?

I hope the 17+ 86's will close some of the gap with wider wheels and lower gearing, but the ND is a lighter and more nimble starting point.

These cars just plain aren't competitive in street classes anymore.

HAve you looked into SSC class. You are part way there with your setup and it looks like a popular and fun setup.

Dont go STX unless you are willing to spend lots of money. And know that there are many great drivers in that class and competition is very very tough.
