Yes, I related to this part actually:

In a normal BRZ, as you’re whipping through a canyon, you get to spend some of your time dealing with the modest grip and progressive breakaway from the stock tires. On the tS’ gumball Michelins, there’s no drama whatsoever.
This is how I felt when I switched to Pilot Super Sports. It made the car more predictable but at the expense of nimbleness. Primacy's are crappy tires, but Toyota & Subaru knew what they were doing.

I wouldn't go so far as the writer calling it boring though.

Well everybody knows that blue cars are the slowest anyway.

Almost everything he said in that review is the total opposite of what the majority of this forum says on most topics.

I especially like this statement. "I’ve never met anyone who has driven a BRZ or the Toyota cousin and asked for more handling. All anyone has ever said is “More power.”

Five minutes of reading threads on here shows that both parts are not the common statements. Yes there are people that like the tires and stock suspension and there are certainly those that want more power but neither of those should be stated as absolutes.
I guess I just wish that Subaru took the same approach to the tS as Honda did with the Integra Type R. It weighed almost 100lbs less than a normal GSR, and it also made more power.

The tS on the otherhand is probably the heaviest 86 to date while having the same power. That along with sticky tires on 18" wheels seems to make the end result slightly underwhelming.

A handful more literature is coming, all them will be on the first post too.

A few of the reviews of the STI type RA are also saying it needs more power, so take that as you will. I blame the lack of interesting roads in most of the US, and the misconception that Sports car = drag car.

By the way, my favorite feedback video for the BRZ tS is this one:

I saw that video a few days ago. While entertaining, it really drives home the point that most Americans just don't get this car.

Quite a few times I wanted to grab my mouse or keyboard and throw them against a wall while watching this.

Yes. Almost 200lbs heavier than the early JDM bare-bones car.

BRZ Premium Power to Weight = .0735
tS Power to weight= .0721

OH MY GOD HOW CAN IT EVEN MOVE AT ALL WITH THAT .0014 GAP?

Meh, I'm sure on the butt dyno it's not a huge difference, but it seems like laziness on Subaru's part. Subaru was able to shed over 60lbs from the STi RA and they even upped the power a little. I am just left wishing they put the same effort into the BRZ.

How cool would it be to get a 2700 pound BRZ (with a carbon fiber roof) that also made 220hp? If they did that I would be trading in my car right now.

Like I said, I'm sure the tS is a special car, I just wish Subaru went the extra mile to distinguish the car from a BRZ with PP.

They just seem to forget that drag racing isn't the only type of racing out there.

I'm sure they have their reasons but I know what you mean when you said you wanted it to be more along the lines of Integra Type R, which makes sense. I was also thinking that as I wish it was more like the S2000 CR.

They definitely left some upgrades on the table. But considering the way the auto industry, and Subaru itself, is shifting...I strongly believe Subaru won't be bringing anything else more tuned than this to North America again.
