Video dissection time:
Not implying that what they are saying isn't true, but...

So after watching the video, not once do we see it hit 12k.
The highest it goes in the video is 10,800.
Even in the side shots on track it doesn't look like he takes it far beyond 10k.

HP numbers only with no dyno graph makes me a sad panda.
According to the video it pulls to redline so I set the HP at 610 at 11000 ripums.
291tq at same rpm. Not bad.
If the peak hp is at 12k the tq drops to 267.

What EJ is it? What was original displacement vs now.
Why u no tell us?

I have a Ducati monster now which has great mid range torque but the 8500rpm redline is less than desirable compared to my old bike, a zx6r. I would take my monster over the 636 anyday but those revs can be very fun and addicting. A car that screams to 12k would be a blast on the twisties.

Besides the fun factor, there is real power to be gained that makes for a faster car, and there is more rpms so less shifting.

The video wasn’t by the owners of the car.

Haha... Hey, I can appreciate a balls-out build. If it helps, first pass with a spectrum analyzer indicates about 11 KRPM.

So there's that.

My BRZ revs out to 11k, so I put in a 5.29:1 final drive to take advantage of that. It's an absolute blast to drive
