The short throw would be a dealer or port installed option not a factory one. Somebody at the dealership knew it existed for them to order it.

The dealership closer to me really didn’t know there is such option. I purchased the car from another dealership.

I live in central Arkansas and I got my 17 BRZ Limited Manual with PP, with front under spoiler, for $28k before taxes and fees. But they are less common around here and it’s the only Subaru within 100 miles so I considered myself lucky. They actually wanted closer to 29000 after all was said and done, but me and my business partner/best friend bought two matching BRZs from them so they were pretty lenient.

Just agreed to $28.2k OTD + TTL in Seattle, WA. CWP w/ Performance Package and Popular Package #3 (~$800). Going to pick it up right now!

Probably could have gone lower. They didn't put up too much of a fight.

I had a brief chat with the guy I worked with about how things were going, and he doesn't anticipate most dealers will fret having 2017 models in stock for a few more months at the very least. As with years past, anything near invoice is a good deal, and should also be achievable.

I had some opportunities not typical, but that mostly meant I didn't have to negotiate. I spent less than an hour in the dealership in total, nearly everything done via e-mail.

$28k is stil a bit high for me. Im shooting for low $27k is possible in Northern Va.

For the PP? Would be a very desperate dealer for that to happen. Its an unrealistic price for the trim level, though you can get closer if it has no other add ons (like the package noted). Finding that is tough, but not impossible if you don't care about color. I tried.

Sheehy Springfield is where I purchased. They had 5 PP brzs there. The 28,5 was after taxes tags and destination charges also.

Yea, seems like Sheehy has the most choices. In fact, I dont see any dealer in MD or VA offer anything other than PP trims. Thanks for the info anyways.

Welp, finally did it myself, first new car I've ever bought for myself, I wanted to hold out for the 2018s but while they could see it on their system, they weren't going to get anything any time before February and I just couldn't see the benefit since people were saying the 'new' stock Subaru headunit with Android Auto wasn't that great anyway.

So:

Brand new, 2017 metallic grey BRZ manual Ltd w/PP and option/popular package 2. $26.8k + TTL.

That sucks man, I've said in other threads that car shopping in the US is one of the most awful experiences I've had (I'm from the UK, it works completely different there).

For reference, they had my particular car listed as $28,047. I told them I want to pay $26k and stuck firm until they got into the 26's which was what I was actually looking for.
