2013 BRZ Long Beep When Door Closes

I have a 2013 BRZ Sport-Tech (equivalent to the limited in the US) with factory keyless entry.

My issue is that, the car acts as if it's always trying to lock itself.

If I touch the handle or use the key to unlock the door, it works, but as soon as I get in to the car and close the door, it makes a long continuous beep.

The kind it makes when you try and get out of the car with your headlights still on, or when you try and lock it with your keys in the car.

The beep doesn't stop until I get out and close the door, at which point the car locks itself or until I start the car.

The car works perfectly fine apart from this, and it throws no codes or anything. I've tried disconnecting the battery, and the batteries in my keys are only 2 months old. This just started last night.

Would anyone be able to offer any help or insight before I make an appointment at the dealership?

Does it act as if one of the door lock switches is stuck being pushed?

Kind of, it acts the same way it does if you were to try and lock your keys in the car. It beeps when you close the door, and then stops when you take the keys out of the car and close the door, then it locks on its own.

Also the same way as if you were to try and lock the car using the fob, with an open door.

The fact that it locks on its own as soon as all other "logic" requirements are met leads me to believe that there might be a short along one of the switch circuits. Admittedly, that seems like a stretch.

Any electrical mods? Even seemingly unrelated ones? The BCU is known to be sensitive to line noise. Cheap LED and HID drivers can wreak havoc.

Nope, the car is entirely stock apart from a Berk Muffler Delete that I installed myself. As weird and ridiculous as this sounds, I took the car to the car wash and got all the dried up salt and everything off of it, and the issue literally ceases to exist.

So maybe the salt on the door handles was messing with the capacitive switch in the door handle causing it to think something was always touching it? Who knows. We'll see if the issue returns when the car gets dirty again.
