But yet law enforcement still isn't the most dangerous job as we are led to believe. They run around and give out a bunch of tickets to pay for their salaries and here and there they "protect and serve".

Or do they even have to make the effort: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/po...o-protect.html

Already quoted the statistic that proves that incorrect. Most are probably their own accidentally shooting each other because they don't understand the functions of their gun or even simple
safety rules that even hillbillies follow at the gun range better....remember the 52 of 118 accidental deaths?

Don't think you'll pull up in a speeding ticket thread in a car forum and walk away unscathed. That goes for any cops and cop apologists.
And cop haters!
Boo hoo I got a ticket and the big bad cop was mean to me so they are all horrible and deserve what they get.
There is some of the stupidest rhetoric I have ever seen on the internet in this thread and that is saying something.

I know they tend to shoot a lot of dogs that are not even being aggressive but I guess kicking them isn't as bad?

There's plenty videos of this behavior by our finest:

Probably even more with garbage men and roofers doing it.
A dog attacks me I am going to kick or shoot it. Perk of the stand your ground law here.

Lets see what went on in the edited out part of the video. Notice he didn't shoot the other dog.

I didn't get a ticket from some asshole cop, he ran off like I said above. I just don't get tickets any more after getting the radar detector so
I have nothing to be angry about as far as tickets. I just don't appreciate being harassed and threatened with one/several when I did nothing wrong in the first place.

So you bought a device to knowingly and willingly break the law. What a saint you are.

I am wasting my breath on this since your level of hatred obviously goes way beyond anything reasonable or even rational. Maybe I should make a religion joke and see what you have to say.

Well, I have never been a law enforcement officer.

The closest I've been to it was in the Army ....... yep, that brings on another back-in-the-day Army story.

(you know the drill, @Tcoat ..... I know I've told this one before ....... but, was it on this forum ..... ??)

During a tour in Germany, when I was a lieutenant, it seemed like I was "selected" for either battalion or brigade duty officer about every third night.

One of the duties as duty officer was to close down the EM (enlisted men's) club. Now, at the time, we had some racial issues going on. The EM club was pretty much taken over by one racial group.

I remember one Saturday night, I headed over to the EM club, with my trusty .45 hanging on my side and my driver (Chandler), armed with an M-14 rifle, with the selector lever set on full automatic.

Now Chandler was from Georgia and talked slow, and thought even slower. He DID NOT like the "soldiers" that had taken over the EM club. So, as the soldiers, all liquored and drugged up spilled out of the club, we would be waiting to keep them moving along ...... so they didn't "gang up"

That strategy worked pretty well except for this one night. A clump of them started milling around, flashing their knives, when I ordered them to move on. Oh, I made sure they knew who I was ........ which did not impress them.

As the group moved toward us, I told the lead dude to halt and if he didn't, I was going to have Chandler shoot him. At that, Chandler cocked his rifle and loudly asked me ...... "can I kill them now, Lt, can I kill them now ....??".

At that, the group moved on and I let out a huge sigh of relief ...... not that the group had moved on ....... but, that Chandler hadn't opened up on them .....

THE END

Wait wait.. So all you need is a radar detector to prevent those asshole cops from pulling you over simply because you drive a sports car. Wow, that is amazing.

I know, right. It's a pretty easy fix. Makes driving much less stressful.

How old are you? Also what is your definition of being harassed? How do you dress? Do you give off an attitude because the guys who's doing his job somehow inconviences you?
