Going to an 18" wheel does not throw the speedo off. It is the size of tire that you put on that wheel that can do it. Wheel size means nothing it is the overall diameter that the speed is based on. Smaller overall means the wheel does more turns and the speed would indicate as faster. Larger means the wheel makes less turns and it would show as slower.

So what tire size would you recommend if I went with 18s, so I don't throw off my speedometer?

go to the tire rack's website and select tire and wheel package for your car. when you select a larger rim it will suggest the correct tire size.
I put larger rims on my accord and the speedo is still spot on.

You don't have to buy from them but it will give you all the info you ever needed.

Driver mod!

Took her to Phillip Island GP Circuit for an introduction to motorsport day. Did two sessions with an instructor and two solo sessions later in the day. All I can say is WOW, this car feels incredible on the track. It comes alive and shows it's poise and ability in the corners and the Hankook RS3's felt great.

after runnings 18's for a few months, the speedo being like 1-2kph off at like 100 was a non issue, the bigger problem was how much the extra weight threw off handling, im sure that can be fixed by expensive lightweight wheels, but for most people id say go for 18's for looks, 17's for driving dynamics

lol i found that mainly braking performance was hindered (exra weight more inertia, i know) and it just felt lighter on its feet, not to mention cheaper tires

Got them snow boots to tackle the snow. :-D

Also sort of fixed the annoying sidemarker issue that plagues this car. Used a zip tie.
