tire replaced
i got a flat today and was in a huge hurry so i dropped it off at a tire shop and told them to throw on whatever they recommend to hold me over till i get new rims (next month). they put on slightly smaller tires in the front than i have in the back. i noticed that i was scraping in places i didn’t before and the ride seems a lot bumpier. Could this be because the height difference is causing the back to push the front end of the car towards the ground? or would it be the size of the front tire itself? any help would be great, i need to know if i should go back for some bigger tires because i can’t handle the ride

![]() Bummer you got a flat tire ... So, it wasn't repairable ..??So, they replaced both front tires and your old tires are still on the back .. ?? What size tires did they put on the front ..?? What size are on the back .. ?? Have you checked your tires pressures ...... maybe they overinflated the new front ones ..?? Come back. humfrz Last edited by humfrz; 12-01-2017 at 01:31 AM. |

@humfrz gave you a great place to start. It's possible other damage occured with the flat, but it's likely the sizing is off. If you have a bigger tire in one corner it will push the opposing corner down a bit more.

Can you read the tire size out for us? Should be on the wall of the tire, three numbers followed by a slash and then two more numbers. i.e. 180/40 or whatever.

The wrong size tires can cause damage or other problems. If you have 1 odd size tire you need to take care of it ASAP. Even if you have a new tire and a worn tire on the same axle that small difference in tread can cause issues. And never mix different tire makes and models. This car should have a square set up unless you have done specific modifications
