Different strokes. glad your plan worked in your case.

I haven't had any kind of issues starting the car. She runs smooths at all RPMs. I stick with Exxon and Shell gas.

Would we say it's safe for me to wait it out? Maybe push 70 or 80K if it comes to that?
I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm at 119,000 miles and the car runs like new. I'll change my plugs when the car tells me to. I already changed front brake pads and that was totally unnecessary. They could have gone another 100,000 miles.
So, has anyone changed their plugs because of degraded performance, or just because the manual says to?

I figure I'll see something else go before the plugs. Maybe burn a coil pack or something, but I'll inspect a plug then. If the iridium tip even looks marginal, I'll replace them. Otherwise, fuck it.

Keep in mind that most modern coil-on-plug ignition systems have enough output to fire a plug with almost zero electrode left, and so you tend not to see symptoms of worn plugs until the coil has burned itself up from having to send enough current to the plug to jump a 0.100"+ gap.

Would be interested in hearing / seeing pics of people who ran there plugs more than 60,000 miles - I swapped mine at 60, and am around 87 now. Just trying to plan ahead to see if I really need another change at 120...

ya but I figure it's hard to achieve those numbers in asia. In US/Canada is easier cuz it takes forever to go to anywhere.
