Pro tip: If you're a coffee kinda guy, try a stout or a porter. Lots of them are coffee flavoured, and it's an easy transition to drinking beer.

Also, I prefer "snob" over connoisseur.

Edit: You're in Toronto, correct? Plenty of places to go for damn good beer there. My girlfriend and I have become absolutely enamoured with Bellwoods Brewery. They have two locations, one in the distillery district on Ossington, but since it's about an hour to get there from Scarborough (via TTC, yay Kennedy Station!), we only head there if we'll be sitting around drinking for more than a few hours. Their bottle shop, which is in North York, is an extremely frustrating 25ish minute jaunt down the 401, but is very worth it.
I do buy the odd single and enjoy them but always end up back with factory beers.

I'm in Brantford. I really don't have much time on my hands as of late between work and ailing parents. Thanks for the tips though!

Beer should not be flavoured in any way other than beer. I can't even stand the smell of some of the different beers much less drink one.

I find it hilarious that Bud Light is classified as a "Premium" beer.
I probably have about 12 of those 34 coolers.

It's all awful but that's what we agreed on at band practice. Sometimes we'd switch to Session for the cheese factor.

I always try the local brews wherever I go. When it comes to larger domestics I like Samuel Adams (arguably the original craft beer though). The seasonals are pretty hit or miss but Boston Lager is always a good choice.

Not too sure what there is down Brantford way, but, if the Piston Broke is still a thing, they pour good beer there.

Plus, you have Admirals, so that's always a gigantic plus. Been too long since I've had a Junk Pile

And what is "beer flavour"?

Don't worry, my dad is the same. I've given him samples of nearly 100 beers I'd wager, and out of those, he's maybe liked 3 or 4.

It's still beer flavored... Just has other flavors with it.
