Can't seem to remove this stain from my work meisters?

This looks like a giant water stain, however, I tried using distilled vinegar and it wouldn't come out. Before when I was wiping it down, it felt like it had texture to it. After a while of wiping it with wheel cleaner, the texture of the stain seemed to have went away and now it feels smooth and inside the clearcoat of the rim. Am I screwed?

Try something a little stronger. Hard to tell from a pic but that still looks like it is just on the surface to me.

Hi Tcoat,

Thanks for the response. Just double checking, these are safe on wheels right?

I would try clay barring first. I had some very bad water marks/stains on a set of used VS-XX that I picked up for my first Yaris some years back. Just took 4 hours worth of detailing (pretty much an hour a wheel) to make them look good. Since I can't post individual pics anymore, refer to the album: http://s208.photobucket.com/user/Yar...?sort=2&page=1

Try using straight vinegar instead of distilled and let it soak for a couple hours before doing anything. If you have access to it, why not give glacial acetic acid a try? You could also simply use light correcting compound. Does wonders for making stuff go away that clay and other things won't.

Good news everyone! I claybar'd it, and it didn't seem to work so I ended up polishing the spot and waxing it and most of it (90%) of it went away. I didn't want to use too much polish(meguiars ultimate compound).

Glad you got them cleaned up .....

Well, NOW you can take your car out in public, without getting laughed at ......

If you lived up here in Washington, you wouldn't have to worry about stuff like that ..... because ....... the wheels are usually WET!

WET! WET! WET!

Was there for a week. Didn't see a drop of rain. I think you guys are just faking all this rain for some nefarious reason.
