Stage 2 means the breast cancer is growing, but it is still contained in the breast or growth has only extended to the nearby lymph nodes.

Actually, cancer isn't a bad analogy for some of the crap people have done to their cars.

Even if there was an answer to this question, why would it matter?

Stage 2 in my mind includes a tougher clutch, the rest can vary from engine mods to suspension and drivetrain mods.

Doesn't have to have spread to the sclav nodes. It can also just be a larger mass without nodal involvement.

That is an excellent question. It matters because he wants to be part of the community. You can't be part of the community if you don't speak the language. Different communities develop different vocabularies, expressions, dialects and even entire languages to help quickly and easily identify friends and exclude outsiders.

When I worked in a Big Four accounting firm, we not only had our own vocabulary, there was actually a dictionary on the company intranet for new hires so they would be able to follow the conversations. Using the wrong term or using it incorrectly immediately identified you as either an outsider or a new hire. Using the right terms told everyone you were a team player and were committed to the company cause.

When I worked in the film industry, we had our own names for equipment that were different from what the manufacturers called them. A "junior to baby adapter" was a "buttplug." A "friction knob" was a "knuckle." If you walked on a set and used the wrong terms, you were pegged as someone who was inexperienced and couldn't be counted on to know what you were doing.

Any specialized community is going to do this. The Jeep community has its own vocabulary. Motorcyclists do also. As do attorneys. As do police officers. As do snowboarders, sailors, restaurant workers, prisoners, military, black, white, Asian, hispanic, southerners, northerners, midwesterners, you name it.

So he's seeing terms some folks use here to exclude outsiders, but he doesn't want to be an outsider. So he's asking what they mean here. Better to do that than misspeak and make a fool of oneself.

if youre planning FI...just wait and do that. otherwise N/A gains on this car are pretty well maxed out with e85/catless header/full catless exhaust/a filter and intake elbow.

I never realized car guys had such strict standards, LOL. All these years, and no one has ever called me out for an improper term.

i can appreciate that but it isnt how he phrased his question. a lexicon for the community would be helpful and im sure browsing would find you plenty information. he asked what stage 2 was witch already alienates him. i dont mean to be rude. i think its great that people are still buying a car like this. i just dont see why the name of what something is, is more important than what the something actually is.

Stage 2 is any part of the rocket that is designed to fire after the first stage is spent. Usually T plus 90-120 seconds.

I don't know. I think he rebounded well.
It is the guys that tried (and will try) to instill their plans/mods as the definition that I find more amusing.

I mean I haven't had the car that long, came from a stage 2.5 GTI, this car doesn't have a turbo so things are different, and forums are typically the best place for answers...so you are correct. Thanks friend.
