BRZ: will a 6 foot ladder fit inside?
Hi guys,
I have been considering a BRZ for quite some time as a daily driver and possible HPDEs a couple times a year. I currently daily a Fiesta ST which has been reliable and fun to drive. It also doubles as my ocassional utility vehicle that requires carrying a ladder and tool box. Will they fit in BRZ? Is the BRZ a good commuter car compared to the fiesta? I drive about 60 miles a day. Thanks! |

I don't know the answer, but the "Will x fit inside a BRZ?" are one of my favorite thread subjects on here.

There are options
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122512 Define what makes a "good commuter car". I drive way more than 60 miles and it is perfect for my needs. I however do not ever need to carry ladders.

if a ladder is all you need to carry, just get a roof rack and tie the ladder on it.

First of all, thanks for the replies on my first thread.
I strongly considered a BRZ almost 2 years ago before I purchased my fiesta but the ford’s versatility won out. However, I still think about the BRz all the time. I love the looks and RWD platform. I do have other PT cars but none will fit a ladder which I need on occasion for home repairs. Also, the fiesta or it’s replacment is used 90% of the time. My primary needs are: 1. Fun to drive 2. practical: carry a ladder 3. Great handling 4. Good HPDE car with minimal mods and modest cost 5. Torquey for daily commuting use 6. Reasonable to maintain and service I want a car that can do it all. |

2. practical: carry a ladder See link to roof racks above 3. Great handling Top in class at the price point 4. Good HPDE car with minimal mods and modest cost Easily done 5. Torquey for daily commuting use Well... not exactly torque" but gets the job done very well 6. Reasonable to maintain and service On par with about any other car in the price range About 3.5 out of 5 for your wants.

Roof racks take about 5 minutes to put on/take off so once you figure out where it is going the first time it then becomes very easy to put on/take off. |

Depends on the ladder. Here's a 10ft one that will fit fine. In fact, you could probably get a 12' one in the car (its about 4 ft long)
