Adjusted the clutch and took out the helper spring. Clutch is now similar to my vette with release at the top 1/3 of the pedal. Car doesnt feel very fast though. Doesnt wake up until 4-5k. Maybe the cam being a zr1 cam is the result. Any ideas besides running rich?

I didn't read the whole thread just the few last posts but did you tune it? I doubt a ZR1 cam would work on a 4.8L properly without a tune. Sports cars generally focus on top end HP rather than low end torque unlike trucks. The stock 4.8 cam you had was probably better down low not to mention it was tuned for it.

I have not tuned it yet. I put the came in more for price ($99) but will eventually have boost. I didn't think it would be this bad. Specs are 211/230 and .558/.552 lift with 1.7 rockers and a 122.5 lsa. Gonna start looking at an NA cam from LJMS or LG. I have a G6X3 cam in my C5 ZO6 and it is beastly. Makes 507/491 on 93. The 4.8 cam was worn out and you could see rub marks all over it. There was bearing material in the cam faces. I put new bearings and a new camshaft in.

I totally forgot that the ZR1 came with a blower. Yeah, that cam is probably too big of a jump for a relatively small 4.8 with stock heads and no boost. I would keep it if you're gonna run a supercharger but with a turbo it might just cause more lag depending on the turbo specs.

HP Tuners is coming right now so I will be able to verify everything is running right with sensors and do some street tuning. Also installing my wideband from when I was turbo.

Got HP tuners working today after work. Changed the cylinder volume for a 4.8L. Adjusted the PE tables to command an AFR of 12.25 above 1200 rpm with a 2s minimum delay into open loop. Seemed to make a big difference in how it rev's up. 1 code popped up though. P0357 #7 cylinder misfire. Going to fix that tomorrow. Checked oil pressure and getting 47 psi at idle and in the 60's+ when revved up. So now I know I didn't make any major mistakes when I built the engine. Going to play with some more tables including injector timing to try and get rid of some gas smell and unburnt fuel. Need to make time for the dyno here to see what it is putting down.

Misfire on cylinder 7 looks worse than i thought. Swapped plugs, wires, coil harness, coil. No change. All the parts i moved to cylinder 1 work fine. Did a resistance and capacitance check from pin 53 of c2 on the ecm to the coil plug and it passed both. ECM has a driver issue on cylinder 7. Going to get psi to replace the ecm under warranty. Only other thing i could do is check the hertz coming from pin 53 to the coil plug connector c. Cant finish tuning until i get this fixed. When driving, i can feel a roughness right by my right foot from the engine from cylinder 7 attempting to fire. Yesterday it fired as i was driving and spun tires when unexpected then stopped firing again.

Wish I had that kind of oil pressure haha. Hopefully the ECM change fixes the issue. Good luck

Got the replacement ECM installed and no misfire codes. Loaded my tune with HP Tuners. Working on SD tuning right now, then some MAF tuning later. Seems to be running much better. Tires broke loose at 6k rpm today. That was a bit frightening on a very bad road. Thing gets no traction now! Need to do some tire/aero/suspension work to get it settled down. First autocross is the 21st. Hopefully I can make it by then.
