Update on the new RXK valve. It seems to make the power band smoother and the torque around 3-3500rpm seems a bit higher. That might be since the weather here is getting colder now. Its also a bit louder. No complaints.

- Recirculation valve opens later (at higher vacuum) when I release throttle in deceleration. I feel that the compressor is making less noise on sudden release of throttle. Take this with a grain of salt since this is my interpretation: I think the surge is less on the compressor during deceleration and compressor is happier.

I went back to softer spring for a day to make sure this is not all placebo. Nope, I have installed the stiffest spring back and I am definitely not making all these up.

CSGMike said that he is going to test what I posted here. But it is not an expensive piece to test if you want to see yourself. I think RKX valve is higher quality than the plastic valve anyway.

Did you use either of the washers that came with the kit?

I'm seeing a lot of positive experience feedback about this part, but @CSG Mike expressed some concerns.

Mike? JR (Oscar?)? Anyone care to weigh in on whether this is effective (anecdotally it appears to be) and safe for the JRSC setup?

What spring color did you use?

I agree it would be nice if someone from JR chimed in. The only reason I made the switch is the supplied part failed twice.

I used the red spring per the recommended settings.
- Red spring 8-22 PSI

Keep us updated on the the turn around time for shipping and how the power band ends up
This will be my Christmas present to me.

So im installing the supercharger right now, and I noticed that the oil resevoir for the supercharger oil is higher than the supercharger shaft, contrary to the rotrext directions ... anyone think this is an issue / mount it somewhere else?

No, just install where it is recommended.

I had that same dilemma/concern when I installed mine. I was assured it was OK as it is directed to be installed.

Rules are meant to be broken, because racecar.

Why does this seem to happen to everyone eventually

New oem block/crank/girdle/oil pump & cover assembly
Wiseco forged 11.5:1 pistons
Manley I Beam forged rods
ARP studs
GSC +1 Valve Train including Beehive Spring kit
Original heads with P&P
Full Blown Oil Pan and Radiator
Wellbro 485 Pump and 1000cc Injectors

Motor was built with higher rpm's in mind but I keep staring at dyno sheets and think about how much time is spent between 4,500 and 7K versus 7K+. My gut tells me the car will be quicker around the track with more mid range acceleration and the ability to stay one gear higher in certain turns. That and I'm certain I will do more for engine longevity by staying under 7K versus routinely pushing 8K as I have in the past. I will run it with the 90mm pulley until the head unit wears out then switch to a C38.

They shipped the kit same day and will be here in Florida on Thursday. I don't plan to dyno it but we will have some boost to rpm data from our street tuning logs to share.
