So now we have three distinctly different variations on the gauge function.

On the gauge without trace, I can toggle between 1.0G and 0.5G scales. The scales transfer to the gauge with the trace. All I can toggle on the trace gauge is resetting the max traced values.
I currently have a pretty large G-llipse, that turns into a full circle when I switch to 0.5 G scale.

They did. I don't know if anyone's confirmed G meter functionality, though.

All I'm hearing is that we need to import some of these meter units from Canada.

Last week I rented a JDM kouki Toyota 86 GT while in Japan. I can confirm that the G-meter works while in motion on that version of the car. My dad was along for the trip and owns a BRZ series.yellow back home, and the working g-meter was the first thing he commented on.

That's what I'm wondering. Which module would this be buried in? I assume if someone figures out how to change this, they may be able to upload custom dyno graphs for the dyno gauge too.

Iv'e really been wanting to find an 860 owner that would be down to do a gauge cluster removal and compare the connections. It would be nice deduce if this is a physical issue such as the cluster not having an extra connection or physical override loop connected with speed output or if this is software based which would mean someone has to find a cute solution to hack to the gauge cluster or 860 gauge cluster swaps are going to start becoming a thing "an expensive thing after reading the process to swap the older clusters".

perhaps a switch. like a turbo timer, when you put the hand brake down. It'll turn off.
