He lives in Harnett county NC, this is a rural area with no traffic and very little traffic lights. He probably averages 50-60 mph which is why is mpg is so high.

Frankly, i like seeing them regardless of stance. Not all people bought this car because its nimble and etc... some people bought this car purely to mod the heck out of it. Whatever the reason maybe, that is personal and i have nothing against that person. Fyi: when i bought mine, it look like a ricer straight from the factory so dont judge people just because to be cool or feel more like a car guy.

I hate seeing other Twins that are sexy with them good wheels and sweet exhaust.

Making the rest of us look bad. They are the problem!

It's not good to always trust what a dash MPG sensor tells you. Do it by hand, the old fashion way , Miles traveled/ gallons consumed.

I’m genuinely curious man as to the reason for stanced cars?
Is this mod just for looks and show or does it effect the cars performance in anyway, for the better or worst?.. And I mean those stanced cars where the wheels are extremely turned in.

I think they do it to make the car handle worse. Hahaha.

For sure it would handle worse but they do it for the look and don't care about handling. I mean really, how often do you run into people who truly care about handling? As long as it looks fast they are fine. Hell, manual transmissions are dead. It's safe to say driving is dead.

Lol havent tried them but im in no way curious to find out unless i plan on doing it. Bought the 86 despite the harsh critism and hatrd out ther because u know why, it is the car that i wish i had when i was young but i was poor. This is not my dream car but it Gets me on step closer to the feeling of driving my dream car(supra & porsche). Bought this car to learn and improve my driving at the same time have fun. If i wanted a fast car i would have bought v8’s but instead i bought this car. Maybe in few yrs, im hoping if toyota dont mess it up, i sure hope i am driving the mk5 and driving it better than i am driving my gt86. Planning daily driving this car as well

Nice! How modded was your 86 when your purchased it? Hmm... I didn't know dealerships sell modded cars.

Maybe my def of mod is slightly different than yours but from what i see so far is everthing is relatively cosmetic. Mine came with aftermarket wheels/vossen, vinyl wrap, tinted front window, eiback spring i think over the favtory strut althought i havent confirm this yet. Trd exhaust, blackout taillights and few toyota sticket lettering on front bumber and as well as under the two doors. Vinyl wrap is two tone. I dont see any modification on the engine. Still has el header from the top view at least. I know some pf their special ed model do come in eiback as well but mine is the only one i see that has the things that is has. I do wonder however why i dont feel the torque dip as much. Maybe because i am not driving my car harder but i do notice that my climb up to 3-4 rpm is quite linear and consistent on 1sr, 2nd, 3rd gr. All in all i would say after hearing all the complaints about the torque dip, i havent have a prob yet. The car to me responded at least for now the way i expected and asked it to do. I know its not a fast car so i do mostly my pull early if needed cause i noticw that you need momentum in this car.

So it was a dealer modded "show" car? Other than the TRD exhaust none of that other stuff is any form of Toyota edition. No official special editon comes in "eiback".

You don't feel much torque dip because it really isn't an issue (as much as many here would love you to think it is).

One of the cheapest sports cars on the market. Expect to see a lot of twins. Even all the modded ones are starting to look the same: wheels, drop... wheels, drop... wheels, drop, oh! a wing!... wheels, drop. Like every other cheap import car, it's cheap so you can mod it but most performance mod bolt-ons aren't worth it, but aesthetic items make your car look 10x faster. Get a 370z Nismo like my hubby has. Stands out way more than the rest and the other 370z guys love his car even though it's stock. He gets compliments all the time, but the only people who compliment my 86 are.... other 86s...

I guess the tarted up Nismo would indeed stand out better than the rest of the 370zs and it is Florida I guess they would like boats better.
