Fujitsubo actually has different design philosophies for their exhausts, the Authorize RM series is emphasis on mid/high end power, whereas the Authorize R is more midrange and Authorize S is more low/mid (street/daily use).

As I mentioned in my Fujitsubo factory tour post, the key difference is how they built the interior of the muffler canisters.

What you hear in the first video is the single tip exhaust. It is very similar, if not identical to the Blitz F-Ti full titanium single tip exhaust in terms of sound.

There are 3 different designs. One is single tip, one is dual tip (basically Authorize R layout w/ different muffler packing, and one is quad tip for use with TRD rear bumper or supplied Prova aero.

Single tip (full titanium):

Quad w/ Prova aero:

Thanks for this info. I was set to grab the Authorize R with titanium tips for my 2017 86 but then having seen this come out I'm not sure if I should grab that or this new RM+C.

I just want a better sound than stock and I use my car mostly for daily/spirited driving. Which would you think would be better suited for me considering I've got the 2017 model which might be more suited to the new RM+C but then I'd probably take advantage of more mid-range power of the Authorize R?

Authorize R is more than enough to meet your needs. The exhaust is quiet at normal driving speeds and opens up slightly at WOT.

Do you have a manual transmission? I don't think you'll see much gains from a catback exhaust, comparing to the pre-17 cars. If you have the new exhaust manifold, you have already most of the possible gains and you'll get much less with an exhaust. This can been seen also in Fujitsubo's site where the older exhausts or the new ones in AT cars give around +3whp or +4whp, but a similar exhaust on the new MT cars give a +1whp or even less. Check an example here: https://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/prods/de...05143/00001474

Stock 187.4ps
Authorize RM with quad tips: 188.0 ps

So, your main decision should be basically the sound.

Thanks for your replies.

Yes - I do have the manual and I honestly don't expect anything in terms of performance. It's mostly just for looks and an enjoyable soundtrack.

I'll just go for the Authorize R - looks good and sounds decent.
