Fujitsubo RM+C

This is the only catback from Fujitsubo that I like its sound. Nice racing tone. It is on the revised car with the updated exhaust manifold. It looks that the manifold contributes to the result:

Yes, I've heard other Fujitsubo exhausts too. It is just that the sound doesn't feel to me that premium. It does not have to be loud, but to have an interesting note in all rev ranges. Maybe it is also an issue of the videos or something else.

Got any photos of the actual design of the exhaust?

I have always been confused about this since the design looks exactly like the Authorize R.

nikitopo 11-01-2017 12:17 PM

Yes the design looks the same. Only difference I can see is that Authorize R gives 98db in 4000-6000rpm and Authorize RM+C gives 102db.

There are multiple Authorize RM/RM+c exhausts.

Fujitsubo actually has different design philosophies for their exhausts, the Authorize RM series is emphasis on mid/high end power, whereas the Authorize R is more midrange and Authorize S is more low/mid (street/daily use).

As I mentioned in my Fujitsubo factory tour post, the key difference is how they built the interior of the muffler canisters.

What you hear in the first video is the single tip exhaust. It is very similar, if not identical to the Blitz F-Ti full titanium single tip exhaust in terms of sound.

There are 3 different designs. One is single tip, one is dual tip (basically Authorize R layout w/ different muffler packing, and one is quad tip for use with TRD rear bumper or supplied Prova aero.

Single tip (full titanium):

Quad w/ Prova aero:

Ha, nothing to do with passion, I just am able to research information quickly.

Thanks! Just found that the HKS has an EC approval in Europe. There are very few exhausts with approval. If I change exhaust, I'll definitely consider it.

Yes I am aware of the single tip exhaust. I just found that the new RM+c sounds more aggressive. Maybe as weeder mentioned, it is related with competition.
