comparing to a muffler delete how does it sound (quieter, deeper raspier) I have a muffler delete right now and am trying to get a little more sound out of my car.

I feel like it sounds very deep in the lower range (0k - 4k) but once you pass that threshold of like 4.5k the type of sound and pitch goes a bit higher and makes that noise you hear when I was redlining. I loved my old muffler delete because it was really deep and raspy. The only issue I had with that was first off you're not really seeing any performance gains and the fact that there wasn't really defined tone. As you went through the higher rpm range it just got louder and also made nearly no crackles or pops. (If that makes any sense)

Heres a link to my muffler delete and then my spec-d.

To be fair, cat-backs don't really provide much of a power increase over an axle-back on our cars, and any increase maybe negated from the gained weight over the muffler delete.

For sure which I was going to mention but felt like I would get crucified for. In reality I dont feel like there are any significant gains that you can at least notice until you replace the headers and tune. I feel like everything else is a bit of a placebo

this was the only picture I had taken of the piping. I really didn't have much time to take as many pictures as I wanted, as soon as it came in the mail I put it on the vehicle because I had a pretty decent meet this last Sunday. I can say that I was very surprised in the like quality of the piping though, It was much studier than I was expecting if that makes any sense. the gaskets were quality gaskets and not mesh bullshit that came with my muffler delete. I did inspect a majority of the welds and there were not any cracks or holes but I did notice that a few of the welds were a bit sloppy and looked rushed. Aesthetically not a huge deal because it's all under the car. Fitment wasnt too horrible in my opinion but I do see what Cole was talking about. one of the pipes defo sticks just a TINY bit off compared to the other on the drivers side. I spoke with another enthusiast this past Sunday at our meet and he did agree that my exhaust was actually louder than the N1 after I did a warm start and 2.5k rev. He also mentioned that it's really common to see people running the N1 and the tips not lining up or one of the other looking a bit awkward if you look at it for too long. I enjoy the sound and the look so in reality I dont care like I'm seriously happy I went with this route instead of keeping my muffler delete.

LOL, those instructions. I did not know there was a 2012 model FR-S.

Also I like how it's mentioning front bumper removal and letting halogen bulbs cool down. Very useful.

LOL, i think they got the model year from when they were being produced? It's really strange actually. I think because they specialize in making aftermarket headlights and taillight that's like a custom to every instructions manual. I didn't even catch that (Or really use my instructions lmfao)

This is a spooky installation vid

I actually have the Nameless Single Muffled Track Pipe and love the way it sounds compared to a lot of full cat back systems.

Yeah I think overseas they have different model year specs. We consider 2013 the first model year when it was made in 2012. They go by when the model was actually produced.

I owned the private label dual exit muffler delete. I was a huge fan of how deep and raspy it was. The general like high pitch catback noise never really appealed to me until recently. My problem with the muffler delete is no matter if you were at 3k rpm or 6k, the sound was always the same, just louder. With this catback below like 3.5k it really is super deep and reminds me of my muffler delete but as it flies into the higher rpm range the sound becomes a bit of a higher pitch and extremely raspy. It actually has a tone to it

It's like an affordable version of this $1,400 Apexi exhaust that I want haha.

Related, they made an undertray/diffuser for this system, I wonder if it would work with the Spec-D as well?

Dude that looks sick. I actually have the $100 plastic difuser everyone has on their FRSBRZ86. It looks good because of how huge the muffler and tips are. That exhaust looks wicked. are those like extra mufflers attached to the muffler?

They're little helmholtz resonators, presumably to cut out drone.
