aren't our warranty 5 years or 60k miles, whichever comes first? how did u get the dealer to replace it seeing tht u have a 2013?

edit: nm, emissions parts are 8yrs/80k miles

For emissions they're 8/80k I believe. Also It's technically not 2018 yet and my vehicle was at 44k miles when the light came on.

Edit: Here's the PDF for the emissions info

That's straight up false. N1 goes for half that. 86speed has it for $575 right now. You're supposedly in Virginia so you aren't using canada or upside down (australian) dollars

You can get a real nice catback for $1200

A friend of mine got this catback with the burnt tips. I helped her put it on. the fitment was fine. It sounds good too.

The dealer I got my car from were some serious assholes in the first place. Even though under Federal Emissions the car is covered for 8 years from manufacturing date / 80k miles I didn't want to show up without a muffler and have them try to say that was the cause of the failure of the cat. They're supposed to check the muffler anyways when they are diagnosing those types of issues according to Toyota.

Pretty much I was afraid they'd be like nah, fuck you. Then follow that up with a $1200 bill for the parts and labor. Instead of taking that risk I just unbolted my muffler delete and put my OEM muffler back on. took like 20 mins

Also, the $1200 for the cost of the parts & labor is actually what I was quoted at. They replaced the OEM headers and front pipe.
With that little mileage on a 4 year old car, that cat should not have gone out. There's a reason it went bad, if the garage simply replaced the cat, you'll be back within a year for another. Coolant, oil or fuel getting into the exhaust stream will destroy a cat- they need to find the REASON that cat went, they don't just go bad after 4 years with low mileage.

This was the first exhaust I ever bought. It's pretty much garbage, tips will never line up and it sounds obnoxious.

But that's not the point. The point is this company sells an Invidia N1 Catback knock-off/replica for $341-$362. The Invidia N1 goes between $1k-$1.2k depending on if you purchase it with burnt tips or not. (pictures at the bottom)

The point is, 90% of what the average end user thinks is a knock-off is in reality made by the same factory as the "brand name"

It's people looking for a bargain that keeps these no-name brands afloat, because they have buyers that don't care for a name on a product.

For $1200 you can get Fujitsubo. If you're nice you can even get free shipping.

I was referring to the price on Invidias site (which is defo not $575) vs the price on K2Motors website.

For sure. To update everyone It came in the mail today. Box was ruined but they used an ungodly amount of bubble wrap and everything came undamaged. I looked over the welding and everything looks fine. I'll post pics later this evening!

THREAD HAS BEEN UPDATED!

For what I paid I'm 100% satisfied. Sounds pretty good, Paid under $200 for it BRAND NEW and it came in the mail in under 3 days wrapped in an unholy amount of buble wrap. Didn't find one scratch on any piece.

10/10 would do again.
