I will attack this as what order you should do both these mods in.

1. Header (unless you have to worry about state emissions test, then FLEX first)
2. Flex/Tune

The header should be first as long as there is not a practical reason to hold off (emissions being one of those reasons). Then later when you have more scratch you can go Flex Fuel along with header. Header/tune/Flex is a great combo and I highly recommend it.

As for headers, I have purchased ACE heads twice. The fact that I went back to buy a second one should say something. But I am in a position where making the jump from $700 to $1500 for a header doesn't bother my budget. So buy the best header you can afford, and you will not have any regret in buying. Tomei is great, its what I used to run before ACE. I can't fault the header at all, especially for the money.

So...

1st - Header & tune

2nd - Flex/E85

Header choice - pick a price point, buy the best in that price point.

Best of luck in your build.
Assuming I take this approach, where I do header/tune now, and maybe flex fuel in the future... Does it make sense to do ofh/oft setup? I can switch between the e85 and 91 tunes for now, and pick up flex fuel later if I wamt. And is there a free flex tune for the oft?

I did header, tune and FF at the same time... however, i did not get a chance to run on e85 for a week or two right in the beginning, so basically got to drive the header/tune combo first... and it was the best thing i did.

Torque dip gone with a bonus of a better sound too.
Love the e85, but I’d go header first if i had to do it again (separately).
