It's all good. No one is good at first. When you get used to it, you'll be fine.

Check out this video.... there are many players using dfgt to drift in GT5. Can someone guide me in dfgt? I have tried using controller, and I don't like it. It is easy and don't feel right. |

[u2b]5x8eHkFgDKA[/u2b] For me, I prefer to use DFGT for grip and don't use it for drift. Not to be harsh, but if you can drift w regular controller then you just need to adjust few suspension setup. That should let you drift w DFGT. If you can't drift w regular controller then, you start from there. Learn how to drift w controller might be better idea first. |

sorry for the wrong video. I get your point though. I already know how to drift with controller. that's why I don't like it. have you tried the wheel to drift? can you guide me?

Yeah, if you're using the wheel, it's best to drift w AWD cars. Also you wanna change your setup to braking drift instead of ebraking drift.
I have all the assist off and have FFB to max. |

Hi, is there any step-by-step guide of drifting? I also found myself really sucks on this (just 5K points at best). It seems that I either counter-steer too much or not enough power, the tail is swinging left to right and eventually off the track. Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, I found that with FT-86 running at CH/CM tires with default setup with custom suspension running at 300-400 hp, it fairly easy to get the tail swing. There is no need for e-brake. (where is that button again?) The hardest part is to maintain the drift using the controllers. Any hints? Thanks.

put the joke on the side, IDK exactly what's the problem... but from the sound of it, in the mid of corner you're putting too much throttle. Corner out, not enough counter steering.Another way to learn is go to open drift lounge and just go into view mode and see some good drifters drift. How throttle control & brake timing & etc can be seen in view mode. |

1. brake into the corner, but not too much 2. turn the steering and brake a little bit to make the rear tires slip 3. once slip, gentlely counter-steer (1/3 to the left using controller?) and press and hold the gas 4. maintain the counter-steer angle and gas level until exiting the corner does this sound alright? |

Yeah.... I manage to drift a 350Z with DFGT wheel. Even though it is not as perfect as using a controller. But it was satisfying! I will perfect the drifting skill with DFGT more.

You gotta adjust setup every time hp goes up. IDK how much HP you have, but if it's over 300hp then you should be putting CM. Also fix the damper setup and lds setup.
