Hey OP congrats on a very cool car.

Many younger folks who get newer cars don't seem to appreciate them, just remember that no matter how hard you work or how in debt or wealthy you are to appreciate the hell out of this car because it is a special machine and deserves to be treated like its special.

I've been in debt for years now for this car and I love it everyday. Sure it may be a scion but I treat it like its my farrari. True appreciation of the car will result in greater satisfaction by the owner (you). That's the trick to enjoying your car even more.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy the car because she's special.

Idunno, 30k is a lot of money and it's not the least you could spend to have a new car. What is it then if it's not cheap nor expensive?

If 30k is the average cost of a new car, and the MSRP for the 86 is 26k, then that makes it lower than average.

There you go.

I referred to the Canadian price of the 86 which is just shy of 30k.

There you go.

No. It is a debate to me, nothing more. You seem to be fixated on triggering people rather than looking at facts.

And every other car goes up in price by about the same percentage so Canadian price or US price it is the same comparison.

Average price of a new vehicle in Canada in 2017 is roughly 38k.

30k is less than 38k.

There you go.
