Finally posting about my 86!

Hello everyone!
I had been a quiet forum lurker for a little while now, but I finally decided to make an account and start posting myself!
I own a 2017 86 MT in Raven that I purchased in February, and have loved every second of it. Being only 19 when I purchased the vehicle, I had never thought I'd have a car like the 86 this early, but hard work and determination paid off!
Here's just a couple pics of her as she is now. I look forward to meeting new people and learning new things here! (hopefully I got the pictures to work right!)

Welcome to the club. Pics aren't working yet! Fix them ASAP, we want to see them!

At 19, is this the first car you can call your own? If so, congrats, enjoy it while it lasts winter is coming... Oh, you don't get snow. Spend that winter tire money on more gas! :burnrubber:

Hard work and determination at the ripe old age of 19? Did you mow every neighbors yard every week for all of middle and high school? :D
Not every day that somebody can get loan for a $30k car with 1 year of credit history and right out of high school. Maybe a little "luck" or parental help was in order.

29 yo girlfriend didn't even qualify for a 22k loan due to negative equity on her trade-in... Hell, she couldn't even refinance without giving a 50% down payment on the negative equity lol.

So much for having decent (650) credit. I bet she wishes she was this guy

What I was thinking, but usually young guys tend to lie about these things in order to say that it is there own and not get bm'd for having their parents buy it lol. Usually better for them to be honest, let's hope he is.

Got my car at 25 and can only just afford it without eating rice for the next 5 years lol.

This is another trolling thread. Have fun guys!

It was all under my own name, having a job that makes a little under 28k a year before taxes, and a 715 credit score (granted without much history) got me approved for it!
I will also fix the pictures asap!

There are several 19 year olds on here that managed to buy the car on their own. Not sure what is so shocking about it.

Sounds a lot like you're working for your car then

I think it's the fact that it's not common for a young guy to own a pretty expensive car. People I have met and that know about the car, and know that I have one are sometimes surprised I tell them it's mine

kouki.86 10-04-2017 05:33 PM

It's definitely not the easiest car for me to be paying for at my age, but when it's a car like this, for me, it ends up easily worth the payments. I do get lots of looks when I drive around, some people I'm sure thinking the car was paid for with my parents' money, but I expected that going in, and I'm proud to be able to say that I'm paying for this car all by myself

So at a job where you make roughly 500 dollars per week, you must be putting every cent you make into the car, between payments, insurance and cheap, replica parts.
