O2 Lambda Sensor Deactivation?

Hey Guys,

As i want to go catless i am wondering what need's to be done to deactivate the O2 Sensors?
Will it affect the engine if i don't change the software? expect from the error code poping up and the check engine light.

I did find some info's in some posts here, but im still confused about the things they talked.
Quote:
P0037
P0038
P0137
P0138
P0140
P0141
P0420
Are some values/sensors/functions they talked about.

Can someone please explain me what to do?
I also heard about putting a spacer inbetween but if it can be done with software this would be a better option for me.

for info i got a 2013 GT86 EDM with AT transmittion
Thanks for your time!

If ECU detects problems with primary catalisator (by using said O2 sensor), it will throw appropriate CEL (don't remember which code), and will disable cruise control. Except that no other ill effects.
One can disable those checks in ECU tune. Most popular for this platform ECU tuning solutions are Ecutek/OFT/Tactrix. Ecutek might be better option if tuned with professional tuning shop, OFT & Tactrix might be better choice for ones to DIY tinker.

Thanks for your fast response!

I am sorry, I forgot to mention that i got tactrix and i know how to flash the car. But i don't know what to edit in Romraider to achieve a normal working car without that o2 sensor

If going catless you want to deactive the CEL for the secondary o2 sensor, thus disabling the P0420 cel in the software using romraider, this has been done by default on the stage 2 tunes by Shiv and Wayno. Also you can disable the secondary o2 sensor fueling adjustments.

Thanks alot! this is exactly the info i needed
When i also disable the fueling adjustments i guess the ecu will not try to get better lambda results anymore, so the engine should run better?
Can you also tell me the code for this one?

Thanks for your help guys!

-The P0420 you can just disable in romraider

-For the trims of the secondary sensor, see the link below, it seems to make fueling more predictable:

Mate your over thinking this if you have oft or Wayne tune for sage 2 that already set up for catless header with correct tune setting and p0420 disabled. Just flash it amd drive.

You dont need to disable o2 senasors to run catless just the cat efficiency cel code P0420. You still need the sensors to work

The stuff you were looking at was likely if you wanred to completly remove the Rear o2 sensor to ise as flex kit input

Thanks fro the info

The thing is im not sure if i can go stage2 right now. It's the plan in future for sure. But right now i got the 1st cat removed, and a hole in the 2nd one. so i guess thats not enough for stage2? So iwanted to keep stage 1 for the next week cause im a bit busy atm. and then remove it fully.

What would happen if i flash stage 2 and there is not enough flow? do you know that?

Just open your stage1 tune in romraider and disable P0420 then reflash will stop the cel light
