OFT help
So I sent OFT a e-mail about my issue and I haven't heard a peep is this normal? I read the forum and tips but cannot get it to work... This is what I sent them:
I received my OFT today and did the ECU read and when it finished both the read and write functions are greyed out. My car is a 2016 scion FRS and had no mods on it when I purchased it though I did buy it used. Also when I clicked the identify ECU function it came back everything unknown. Please help I don’t know what to do and I just spent $499.00 on this tablet. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance... |

If you didn't do it already, go to the download page of OpenFlash (Link)
Download OpenFlash manager (OFM) (Win only) and Toyota GT86 Off-The-Shelf (OTS) Tune Files Install OFM and unzip the OTS files (ex: c:\tunes) Connect the tablet with your pc and open OFM, let it update the tablet. Go to Upload data, take a look at your calId (1), Click on the folder in (2) and navigate to your tunes folder, open the folder with your calid and select your tune, stage1 for stock vehicle, stage2 for UEL header. Press Start in area (3). Go to your car and flash it.

Read and write will be greyed out once you read your ECU and if there are no compatible tunes loaded onto the oft. Your problem is probably just as simple as needing to load the right tune file into it from your computer.

So, how can they say "preloaded with tunes" and "no laptop required" when it's neither of those?... If I knew it was not as advertised, I'd have never bought it. Those are the two huge selling pts. (For me)

It was preloaded with tunes but for some reason my OFT wont load any of them and that's what I cannot figure out. I erased the preloaded tunes and downloaded the new tune Zip but same issue.
