First off I would like to start by saying that I made this thread as a place for beginners just starting in the aftermarket community and need explanation on things and why or why not it would be smart to fit that specific turbo for the goals of their car.
Let me first start with my build: I am about to purchase a 2015 scion frs with 42k miles. My goal for this car is to basically make it a mustang killer and then maybe later add flex fuel and reinforced components on e85 and make it a GTR killer lol. Looking for about 300-320 at the wheels on 91 with a kraftwerks supercharger (maybe c30) and whatever I can get on e85 (have seen in 400-450 range with built motor) I was going to start by asking the thread what should be the first steps that I can do easily myself. (swaybars, wheels, tires, etc) I know before I go forced induction I should do some prep mods to support the added power. I was going to start with wheels and tires and a big break kit, then swaybars, then the supercharger. As of right now I don't want to change suspension if i can get away with it. I dont want it to be more stiff than it already is. IS THIS SAFE AND OK? |

Are you sure you want to buy an 86? Would you be better off just buying a mustang if this is what you are looking for? If you are primarily looking for power, it may be more cost effective to start off with a car that already has more power or factory turbo

Yes, ik it sounds dumb but my dads super cocky friend has a stock 2017 mustang and I cant have that same car as him. I would never hear the end of it.
Also, and more importantly...I like the driving characteristics of the frs/brz/86 much more than the mustang and look forward to heavily personalizing the frs platform as it allows you to do so easily. |

Not trying to be a ****, but there's no need for another thread on these topics. This whole forum is a place for beginners just starting in the aftermarket community that need an explanation on things and why or why not... etc.
The best advice to all new users, the search function is your best friend. These cars have been out for 5 years now, and I can almost guarantee you aren't doing anything revolutionary or asking any question that hasn't been asked already. If you've got a question, 95% of the time there's an answer for it somewhere on this forum already. If not, there is a thread where these sort of questions are meant to go. Like I said, not meaning to rain on your thread. It does seem like it was well intentioned, but it honestly just creates more confusion for beginners by spreading information around in more places than necessary. As for your question, I'd recommend asking it in the Suspension | Chassis | Brakes section of the forum. The guys from CSG and/or RCE will likely chime in and are great sources of information/help, as are many of the users on here. Best of luck with your car!

These FR-S cars are fantastic at from a roll drag racing on the interstate, you couldn't have picked a better platform! Great choice.

I was trying to make it a legit thread but the internet is still the internet and wont let me find good info. Sorry just do what sharkbait88 said, go to one of the main forum pages and ask about something similar to what is already being said and then ask your question for the best chances at a response.

Good luck with your build, just be smart about it and research the fuck out of anything before you buy it.
