Back when this game was the hot shit, all I cared about was the colour scheme hehe, castrol supra, although SUPER ICONIC was not the colour for me.

No particular car got me into cars. I was just always into them. My Dad's first new car was a 1958 Plymouth. As you can see, I loved that car. And no - it's not "Christine"!

TV hero cars are what most likely got me into cars. I was an 80s kid, so I used to see the Knight Industries Two Thousand and the General Lee Charger on TV all the time. They hooked me very early in life and I've never looked back.

Oh, and the A-Team van deserves an honorable mention, too.

When I was a little kid, my babysitter for 2 years was a college-aged guy from a rich family who drove a new WRX, and he would point out the nice cars on the road, and stomp on the gas quite a lot

Later, in high school, I was one of the only kids without a car (rich town), which made me want a car even more. Since I didn't have a car to mess with, I would instead read about them and look at what parts I could buy for my hypothetical car.

Growing up my uncle had a white mk2 supra and a white 300zx with the red interior. i remember the first time he hooned it with me in the car i remember everything, the feel of the seats, the look of the stitched leather steering wheel, the feeling that i was going to throw up from the dizziness. he went on to be a Toyota mechanic for 20+ years and currently has the cleanest pair of vintage toyotas - an sw20 MR2 and a 22re truck - the two have almost 600,000 miles on them combined and they run and drive great. he got so hyped when i told him i was buying an 86.

Dad sold Toyotas so he would bring a demo home from time to time. The company car would be boring stuff like Corolla wagons and Camrys, but one time he brought back a 1988 Celica GTS. I think that's where it all went downhill.

both are extremely cool

Was that screenshot from an earlier GranTurismo game? Thats what it looks like. I swear GT3 and GT4 has some of the most amazing cars.

That's from GT1. And GT3 if I remember this correctly, was probably one of the coolest ones with the black edition cars that you could get through season play, but under specific circumstances.

Also the fact that they had a huge car list for what the game was then was something so interesting to me, I swear I would go through the car select/buy menu sometimes just to look at all the different types of cars available
